Music lessons can be educational for everyone

OK, one kid is taking guitar lessons. Less than one hour after the lessn I ask/tell her to go practice what she learned and I get...I don't know what to do!! Now I learned to play an istrument when I was a kid. In fact I was the only female to play this particular instrument from 4th thru 12th grade. In band I sat next to the funeral director's son and the butcher's son. Two families that have gotten my family's business many times.
My dilemma....continue to "make" the kid take lessons, until she at least can play a tune or forget it.


The kid thinks she'll wake up tomorrow playing the guitar like Michele Branch and signing like kelly clarkson. Where's simon cowel whe I need him?
