Concert tonight - JT

We're taking the kids to a concert tonight. Going to see James Taylor. I guess he's my first favorite. Back when he was still married to Carly Simon in the 70s. I had all their records. Knew the lyrics by heart. In 1977 he gave a concert at my college. I was disappointed that he came solo and sat on stage with a "reel-to-reel" tape machine and the "band" was taped, He sang all my favorites and every since he's remained on my top 5 list.

Can't remember the year (1980-81) but my two best friends and I rented a cottage on Martha's Vineyard for a week one summer. Almost missed the ferry over but will save that story for another day! Anyway, we loaded up on lobster, crabs, shrimp and ice of course. Two nights we visited a bar/club owned by Carly Simon called. Hit Tin Roof. If I remember correctly, it was an old airport hanger? Have bar stool seats, we were looking fine and never did see JT or CS. No one else notable I can remember. Back the disco was king and I'm sure were bumped our way thru the night sipping ice teas!

So a second generation will be seeing James T tonight. We're going to do the lawn thing. Back 30 years ago the beers were $2.50 now they're $7.00.
