Steely Dan & Michael McDonald

What a night last night. We had lawn seats for the concert in VA Beach. Perfect concert going weather. Michael McDonald (my favorite) came out accompanied by his Nasville band and sang a variety of songs including a few from the Doobies and his Motown albums. Then Steely Dan came in stage. I didn't get to see the band in the 70s when they were at their height of popularity.....well Donald Fagan still has it. When I closed my eyes I was listening to his album in my bedroom back in 1973. Other than Fagan I'm not sure if there wera any orginal band members. The guitars did a phenomenal job. My 10 yr od is taking guitar lessons and remarked at the skill of the musicians. I did buy a concert t-shirt. You know I never bought one until last year's James Taylor concert. Was it because it wasn't cool back then when I was 18-23 or was it because I was broke? probably a mix of both.
