I'm sitting here typing away while listening in on 4 conference calls in succession. I'm finding my thoughts drifting and listing to the right as the voices drone on. We intended originally to do these calls via video conferencing but the technology got the better of us all.
Halloween is right around the corner. I hope it's a cool evening. We've got a specific timeframe for kids to knock on doors. 7 - 9pm only! This year I'm going healthy handouts. I got a couple huge bags of mini bags of pretzels. Yuck, gross, no way will I eat those were the reactions from my kids. I told them they can go to other peoples houses if they want junk! At least if I have leftovers I can enjoy the bags and bring to work for lunches and snacks.
Have you seen the money people have invested in decorating their homes and yards for Halloween? It's getting totally out of hand. They're spending more than Christmas! I love how the local churches are offering "alternatives" to the pagan rituals for 10/31. One church is having a harvest festival and kids are welcome to wear their costumes....what's wrong with this picture? I'll be donning my yellow banana nose and glasses and will dole out the pretzels.
I'm happy to report that I've lost a couple pounds since my last post. I won't make a habit of reporting so as not to bore anyone!
Going down south for the last race of the 2006 NASCAR season. I can't wait. I do hope my guy wins the whole enchilada...Dale Earnhardt, Jr. Mister #8. Flying down on Friday 11/17 and going to the Busch & Nextel races. Not sure where our seats will be but the fact we'll be spending time in the hospitality suite....all right!
Trick or treat ya'll
