Surgery Sucks!

Well, I'm not actually sure which sucks more...the nerve block that leaves the eye droopy and the voice raspy like that actress who played lois lane in the superman films - Margo Kidder or, the fact I can't swing my arm out without tears coming to my eyelids or my stomach doing somersaults.

Rotator cuff repair....I saw the nasty photos when I went back to the DR a week after the arthroscopic procedure. Reattaching a tendon to bone must take patience and precision and a good bone so I'm on the mend but barely able to do much as the arm is my right and I do everything....everything with that arm. I never liked empting the dishwasher and now it's impossible without wincing.

The kids should have a better appreciation of the tasks I do around the house. I'm reralistic that they won't appreciate ME more, just the jobs I perform that they take for granted. Even the husband has to do more like drive me to phys therapy and take the kids to school and maybe for one in his life make concessions for the family instead of the other way around!!

Gotta go take a darvocet as all this writing has aggrivated the arm...yah, I'll do the exercises after it licks in. Yawn....
